ITMA - IT Integration in mergers and acquisitions

This study aims to identify key information technology (IT) integration issues experienced during mergersand acquisitions(M&A) in the financial servicessector. The study proposes an approach to increase the efficiency of such transactions. A comprehensive literature review and case study of a leading financial servicesorganisation is undertaken, comprising of interviews with high ranking IT and business leaders. This research identifies the blueprintfor a best practice framework, which Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and IT practitioners can employ to guide execution of their own M&A integration programme.
