/sup 40/Ca(p,/sup 3/He)/sup 38/K reaction and the low-lying 1/sup +/, T = 0 states

Angular distributions to the low-lying states of /sup 38/K have been measured in the /sup 40/Ca(p,/sup 3/He)/sup 38/K reaction at 42.5 MeV. Distorted-wave Born-approximationcalculations for these states, using spectroscopic amplitudes from the wave functions of Wildenthal and Chung, underestimate the 1/sup +/, T = 0 cross sections, particularly for the 0.46 MeV state.
