Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction in the Massive Weight Loss Patient

In principle, VASERlipo with excisional body contouring offers two clinical possibilities. One is that the excision can be limited, which reduces surgical trauma and scar burden. Two is VASERlipo complements major excisional surgery which thins the patient, mobilized flaps, and lent broad impact across the entire body in a single stage. Through three case presentations, including video and image results, the gamut of applications and result are shown. Since the purchase of my own VASER 4 years ago, we have performed over 120 cases each year with roughly half combined with excisional body contouring with all but a few in an ambulatory setting. The added time for the VASER is accepted because the operative trauma and blood loss is far less than with traditional liposuction, and the results are close to expectations with rare contour deformity.
