A search for scalar leptoquarks at the CERN pp collider
1992
Abstract A search has been made for scalar leptoquark pair production with the upgraded UA2 detector at the CERN p p Collider at √ s = 630 GeV, investigating decays of the leptoquark into a quark and either an electron or an electron neutrino. From an event sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 13 pb −1 a lower limit has been determined for the mass of first generation leptoquarks, yielding 67 GeV (95% CL) for a scalar leptoquark decaying with a 50% branching ratio into a quark and an electron.
