Plenary Session: AI and Future of Business

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a critical area of interest in the business world, with experts predicting that it will significantly influence the future of business. The transformational impact of AI on the operational and competitive landscape of businesses through cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and accuracy improvement has been widely acknowledged. Moreover, AI algorithms are enabling companies to provide personalized offerings to customers by analyzing their data and behaviour. However, this development raises ethical concerns that demand attention. As business educators, it is our responsibility to prepare students for a future in which AI will play a prominent role. This task involves designing new programs and courses that emphasize AI and related technologies, as well as equipping students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will be essential in an AI-driven workplace. Overall, AI is poised to revolutionize the way businesses operate in the future. Therefore, we must adapt our business education to facilitate our students and their businesses to achieve excellence in the new era of AI, while also considering ethical, equitable, and sustainable issues.

It provides participants with a clear understanding of the requirements of AACSB accreditation, the journey itself, and how to complete the initial steps that will launch a school toward accreditation. This workshop will leave a school well-placed to decide whether it wants to pursue accreditation and, if it does, how to get the journey underway successfully.
