About the Program

This Summer School Program, with various teaching approaches such as in-class instruction, field trip, case analysis and creative workshop, aims to cultivate participants’aesthetic taste and basic knowledge of Chinese art, develop their multi-cultural perspective, and to inspire their creativity. Artists and designers from China and other countries work together to launch this two-week Chinese Traditional and Contemporary Art Design Program. While learning from master artists and senior designers, participants will have the opportunity of accomplishing a design project from a Chinese Enterprise under the guidance of masters, and seeking possible career opportunities in China.

Program Features

Learning efficiently. Through a two-week’s study, in general, participants will be able to complete a basic Chinese Calligraphy and Painting work independently. This owes to the unique teaching methods of masters of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting based on their years of research.

Inspiring creativity with the fusion of Chinese and Western Cultures. Art Masters and Senior Designers from China, Japan, and Europe merge the design cases of Traditional Chinese Art such as Chinese Calligraphy and Painting and Chinese Craft Works with Chinese Contemporary Art to help participants to absorb the essence of Oriental Art, and to apply it to their individual creative designs.

Emphasizing on experience teaching. Our program provides on-site practice and visiting activities to all kinds of traditional craft makings. While making Chinese crafts by themselves, participants will get an adequate understanding of Chinese Art Philosophy.

Engaging deeply in industry practice. Participants will have the opportunity to be instructed by industry mentors, and accomplish a real enterprise project. Various awards will be given to those whose creative solutions are adopted.
