The program is jointly designed and developed by University of Southern California (USC) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). It integrates the advantages and resources of two mother universities to cultivate future industry leaders with creative spirit and thoughts. It seeks to cultivate versatile talents who understand the operational principles of the cultural and creative industries and are adept in cultural enterprise management. Students who meet the degree requirements of SJTU and pass the thesis defense will be awarded SJTU Master of Journalism and Communication degree and students who meet the degree requirements of USC will be awarded USC Master of Management Studies in Cultural and Creative Industry.
Tuition: The annual tuition at SJTU is 108,000 RMB per academic year per person. Tuition and fees payable to overseas partner institution will be due by dates set by and subject to the policy of overseas partner institution.

1. The First Academic Year: at SJTU
Students are required to complete at least 12 core courses at SJTU in the first academic year, out of which three courses are delivered by USC faculty.
2. The Second Academic Year: at USC OR SJTU
USC: Students admitted to USC Marshall Master of Management Studies (MMS) Program need to earn no less than 22 credits at USC.
OR SJTU: Students not applying for USC degree program will continue their study at SJTU.
3. The Last Term: at SJTU
All students must complete their graduate thesis at SJTU and successfully pass their thesis defense in order to obtain the SJTU Master Degree of Journalism and Communication.
Supervisor Group System
In accordance with the cultivating requirements for creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary studies, the supervisor group is composed of individuals with diverse professional backgrounds in engineering, cultural creativity, management, and other fields. Supervisor group includes academic supervisors, industrial supervisors and international supervisors. Each supervisor group is responsible for guiding a certain number of students and operates under a mutual selection mechanism between supervisors and students for the purpose of education and cultivating.
