After the signing and inauguration ceremony, the guests participated in the seminar on industry research and application-oriented higher education institution development. At the seminar, Liu Zhimin expressed the hope that the research center would, by relying on industry research platforms and starting from the industry demand as well as its talent training orientation, make full use of the industrial way of thinking and incorporate the professional industry research mode into the application-oriented higher education itself and carry out systematic industry research and benchmarking paradigm research on industry-education integration, so as to develop and spread a set of system standards to achieve co-development and sharing.

Alumni donors said that they should keep their original aspiration, and to thank their alma mater for its nurturing, they must give back to their Alma mater and contribute to its development. They also hoped that the donation would be used to support the maintenance of the Engineering Hall, which boasts a glorious 90-year history, as well as the discipline development, talent cultivation and scientific research of the university and the college, and they wished to work together in contributing to the advancement of higher education of our university.

On behalf of ACEM, Dean Chen Fangruo expressed a warm welcome to our alumnus, Liang Hong, and his team and introduced outstanding achievements of ACEM in international ranking, faculty building and alumni brand, as well as its future development goals and development paths. Chen Fangruo also expressed his deep gratitude to the alumni on behalf of the College for their strong support for the educational cause of their alma mater through practical actions. He said that the donation will be mainly used to boost student quality and educational development. The College will make good use of the donation in industry research, talent cultivation, and alumni development to form a virtuous circle.
