About this course

China has committed to reaching carbon peak in 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality in 2060, despite of challenges on the pathway ahead. This interview welcomes Mr. Jon Penrice, President of Dow Asia Pacific, to share his insights on initiatives and strategies from private sectors to reduce carbon for more sustainable development in China. Dow's strategy towards sustainability, especially on carbon reduction, and how Dow involves partners across the value chain are shared. Also discussed are challenges and opportunities for industrial sectors in China´s future development.

    This session introduces China's initiatives on carbon development and Dow's strategy towards sustainability, especially on carbon reduction. How to involve partners across the value chain and its challenges are also discussed.

    Opportunities and Challenges for Future Development

    This session discusses how China can cope with the challenge of both continuing its economic growth and addressing sustainability. The opportunities for the industrial sectors and good experiences in plastic use are shared as well.
