Ying Rong is a Professor of Management Science at Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he has taught since 2010. Prior to joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Ying Rong has worked as a postdoctoral scholar in Lehigh University and University of California, Berkeley.

Rong holds a PhD and MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Lehigh University and a BS in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research, specializing in Service Operation, Operations in Emerging Business Models, and Supply Chain Management, has been widely published and recognized with grants and awards.
