Shanghai Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Thermal Aging is jointly established by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Electrical Machinery Technology Institute, Shanghai Steam Turbine Generator Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. It mainly consists of the High Voltage Laboratory and the Polymeric Insulation Materials Laboratory. The laboratory focuses on applied basic research and research and development on experimental technology. Its main objective is to enhance key integrated technologies and serve as technical support for developing electrical materials in Shanghai. Additionally, it aims to cultivate technical talents for enterprises and contribute to the economic development of Shanghai.
